DUNNI SURPRISES WEBMASTER BY WINNING... AGAIN
Wayne Dunworth has shocked me today by leading his STR team to victory at Kings Lynn yesterday. The meeting was called off prior to the end due to a torrential down poor of rain! However they were leading by 8 points with only a couple of heats to go so the results was declared and Wayne's team were the winners!

Wayne will next be in action this Saturday when he will be at Mildenhall for a Southern Track Meeting!

DUNNI RIDES FOR OLD BOSTON...
Wayne Dunworth competed for the OLD Boston side against another one of his clubs, the Southern Track Riders Club. A meeting arranged between Dale Allitt of Boston Speedway and the committee of the STR came together to bring some of the old Boston riders back to the track, and some of the less experienced riders who ride Southern Track, a chance to race in a proper meeting.

DUNNI WINS AGAIN...
Yes its true, Wayne had won his second Open Class of the Southern Track Riders Club Meeting of the season, in a row. Although he didn't go straight through the cards he did the business in the final to take all the honours. He said "thanks to Dale and Gary who have been real celebrity mechanics. Things are really looking up for me now. I can't wait till the next STR meeting, hopefully I will make it three in a row.... but don't hold your breath"!

DUNNI WINS STR OPEN CLASS...
Dunni won his first Southern Track Riders Meeting of the Season today at Scunthorpe getting 3 out of 4 wins in his opening heats and the all important win in the final. It was a good day overall with him having no bike problems and just seemed to make starts all night. He said "Yes it was a good day to be honest and I just hope this is the first of many more to come this season.

Dunni rode at Rye House in STR...
Wayne travelled to Rye House on Sunday to take part in a Southern Track Riders Meeting. After arriving early it was feared that the meeting would not take place as the premier league meeting the night before was called off, plus the track still had some spots of standing water. Mr Silver and Cookie had a little track walk and get together and decided to let to meeting continue!

The track was very wet and even as the meeting progressed was still proving tricky to everyone. Wayne still managed to gather two wins, a second and a gifted third when his back end vibrated loose. This left him with 9 points and got him into the final!

In the final he mad a reasonable gate of gate one however was leant on by all three riders coming out of the bend which can be seen on one of the pictures from the meeting in the galley. "I had to let off to stop me from straightening up and t-boning them. By the time i could get the throttle back on they had already gone. By the third lap I was catching back up but the slick tricky conditions just didn't help".

"I will next be in action this Tuesday at the Boston Staffsmart Barracudas Press and Practice event.

DUNNI to ride three times this week...
Wayne is booked into ride on three occasions this week as he makes his final preparations for the 2008 season. Firstly on Thursday he is booked into a closed practice session at Kings Lynn. Secondly on Saturday at the Scunthorpe Amateur Meeting where he will be in a meeting with riders like Simon Lambert, Adam Lowe Matt Wright and Richard Franklin! And finally will be back at Scunthorpe again on the Sunday where he will take part in just an open practice! He said "Yeh some people are saying its too much for me but what they don't realise is that I want a real good season this year, I want to force my way into a team! The last couple of seasons have seen me  make the odd appearance for a few clubs but I wont more meetings. This is going to be my last season in professional speedway so I want to go out with some sort of a bang. And not a fall :D!!! Riding three times this week can only do good to my fitness and if people can see me riding daily then that just might lead to someone keeping an eye on me

Details of how Wayne gets on will be updated early next week so please check back then!

DUNNI in Southern Track Practice...
Wayne Dunworth finished off his 2007 speedway in a Southern Track Riders Practice at Kings Lynn.

The event attracted over 20 riders including conference league stars in Darren Mallett, Rob Smith, Jay Pickard and also the new under 15 British Champion Daniel Greenwood. Dunni had a total of 8 rides and was showing his lack of fitness towards the end. His best time of the day was 4 laps in 68.1 and this was on his second machine as the first one had a problem "possibly the rocker" Dunni said. The fastest time of the event was 64.6 by Darren Mallett who rode the track last season in the conference league.

Dunni has not yet booked into any other events for the new year so as soon as he does, we will update!
